I recently experienced the bad side of some bees while trying to do some quick maintenance. You may gather that doing things quickly with Bees is never a workable idea.
I was quickly reminded bees will work at their own pace and if disturbed can become quite defensive.
While a s Bee keeper as well I have endured stings like most keepers.
On this occasion I received a significant amount of venom which caused some swelling, hives and a particular nauseous feeling.
Since I have never had that reaction before it was quite surprising.
Learnings; don’t rush, have adequate protective clothing at all times, if you are susceptible for any reactions and if required have your Epi pen nearby should it be required.
It can ruin your whole Sunday 🙂
