Speaker Beehives: Ian Tackles Another Huge Beehive Removal and Re-home Job.
Recently Ian tackled another bemusing, but not all that surprising, beehive removal. Two very established and very cranky colonies had taken up residence in a PA system that was stored outside. One inside each giant speaker!
You can see why these bees thought these were cosy and secure spots to build a hive. Unfortunately the owners of the equipment didn’t catch it early, and this ended up being quite a big job. It took Ian about four hours in total.
Of course, the speakers were beyond repair, but we were glad to save another couple of colonies of bees!
