Description
From the original Round Comb System, the Ross Round cassettes will hold your bases and lids in place. This is the main component of the kit. However, it does not fit a regular Langstroth hive. Your supers will have to be modified according to the size of the cassettes.
Build your own box size, they’re very easy to make, no fancy springs or chaser board required. Use a half depth box (or even shorter, as the Ceracell boxes are only 115 mm). Line the inside of the box either with solid timber or battens and plywood, the choice is yours. Replace the plywood chaser board and springs with a single piece of timber, and have a pair of small tacks/screws/nails placed at the bottom of the box so that the timber doesn’t drop out. Done, easy!
