First time I used this feeder, I found many drowned bees the next day. I thought it was most likely that the number of bees coming up through the chimney had dislodged the cap, allowing bees to enter feeder. To correct this I’ve placed a thick sponge on top of the central feeding cap to hold the cap firmly in place once the lid is on. With this in place, no more bee drownings have occurred. Very happy with product.
